Salad = $7.25 / 1.0 BTC = $14.05
Total cost = 0.51 BTC
Today that salad is worth ~ $15,000 🤯
Nick’s comment to this is equally hilarious:
Everybody saying “Wow, that’s an expensive salad!” but what was more expensive was using mybitcoin to pay for it, a custodial web wallet run by some guy named Tom that ran off with 74 of my bitcoin in 2011 shortly after I made this video.
Even so, the salad was good 🙂
So, the lesson here isn’t to HODL. It’s to spend and replace, you know I’m advocate for that, and to hold your own keys.
