We successfully submitted the ICANN .bitcoin TLD application for Community Priority Evaluation with over 50+ letters of endorsement from within the community, together with several high-level letters of recognition. ICANN will reveal our full application sometime in November 2026.
The entire ICANN application process will likely take a few years, as we are aware of other applications for .bitcoin and they will likely oppose our community application. But I am confident we will be successful, and I hope to launch the .bitcoin TLD for the community by 2030.

The .bitcoin TLD is real. Not a DNS trick. Not a browser extension. A genuine top-level domain submitted through the ICANN New gTLD Program, with Community Priority Evaluation — backed by 50+ letters of endorsement from the community itself.
This matters more than most Bitcoiners realize. When you can type your own address into a browser bar and land on a .bitcoin domain, the borderless economy stops being an idea and starts being infrastructure.
The application window closes 12 August 2026 at 23:59:59 UTC. Applications received after that will not be considered.
It will take years. There will be opposition. Other .bitcoin applicants will fight the community application. That is how ICANN works.
But a .bitcoin TLD is coming. And the community is the one asking for it.
