Then Revolut separately contacted the real agency to confirm the request — and discovered the whole thing was fraudulent.
Read that again. They did not hack Revolut. They did not breach a database. They did not steal private keys. They sent one email — from the right domain — and Revolut handed over everything, including your Bitcoin history, to people whose identity the company still cannot confirm. Revolut has not named the agency being impersonated, has not said how many customers were affected, and has not explained why its "security controls" treat a matching email domain as proof of identity.
And the company line? "Your funds are safe."
Of course the funds are safe. The scammers didn’t want your money — they wanted your identity, your history, and your location.
