THE BANKER WHO CALLED YOUR SAVINGS A ‘HIDDEN TAX’ IS ALL IN ON BITCOIN

You Call It "Savings." He Calls It a "Hidden Tax."

Ricardo Salinas owns a bank. Banco Azteca — millions of customers, ATMs on every corner, the kind of institution they tell you to trust with your life savings. And on Monday, the third-richest man in Mexico looked into a camera and told you that those savings are a lie.

"Fiat inflation is a hidden tax," he said — then told you exactly what to do about it: buy bitcoin.

When the man who runs the lending machine tells you the money is fake, you stop calling him crazy and start asking what he knows.

The Facts — Straight From the Banker’s Mouth

Salinas, founder of home-appliance retailer Grupo Elektra and Banco Azteca, posted a video on X to his millions of followers on Monday:

  • "Fiat inflation is a hidden tax. Don’t be fooled: learn, protect your savings, and defend your freedom — buy bitcoin and hold it."
  • "Bitcoin changes one fundamental rule: no one can print more just because they want to."
  • "While you have to work to earn more money, the system can simply create more of it."

He’s not new to this. At Bitcoin 2022 he called traditional money "the fiat fraud" and accused the Federal Reserve of "printing money out of thin air, and then making fake purchases." Earlier this year he revealed he had raised his Bitcoin allocation from 10% to a staggering 70% of his personal portfolio.

And for the record: he once boasted that he "convinced my wife to mortgage the house that she has and take a loan to buy bitcoin."

A banker. Telling people to mortgage the house. For bitcoin.

Why This Is Your Problem

Let’s be absolutely clear about who is talking here. This isn’t a broke crypto bro with a Lamborghini poster. This is a man who built his fortune ON the fiat system. He runs a bank. Banks lend fiat. If fiat is a fraud, the product he sells is the fraud — and he’s admitting it out loud.

When a banker defects from banking, that’s not a conspiracy theory. That’s an insider telling you the building is on fire.

Meanwhile you work forty hours a week, the government prints, and your savings account pays you 0.01% while inflation quietly steals 5-10% of your purchasing power every single year. Salinas calls that "stealing the time you sacrificed to earn it." He’s right.

And he’s not alone in the escape. Ray Dalio just told the world your bonds are the trap — sell bonds, buy gold and bitcoin, he said, with the U.S. "three years, give or take two" from a debt crisis. The people who run the money system know exactly what it is. They’re positioning. You’re still standing in line at the teller window.

Oh, and remember: the same banks that called Bitcoin a scam are now building their own blockchains to keep your money on their rails. They don’t want you to escape. They want to own the escape.

The Love Is Bitcoin Takeaway

The lesson here isn’t "trust billionaires." It’s that the richest people on Earth — including the ones who literally lend fiat for a living — are quietly moving their wealth into the one asset that can’t be printed.

Bitcoin changes that one fundamental rule, like Salinas said. No government can create more of it just because it spent too much. No central bank can dilute your stack to pay its debts. No banker can freeze it — unless you left it with a banker.

So if a bank owner’s warning convinces you to act, act like it matters. Don’t buy a paper IOU from a brokerage that holds your coins for you. The entire point of escaping fiat is that you hold the keys — not a receipt. Get the real thing at https://loveisbitcoin.com/bull and use code LOVEISBITCOIN to start stacking the sovereign way.

The Question They Don’t Want You to Ask

So here it is: when the third-richest man in Mexico — a man who OWNS a bank — tells you that your savings are being taxed into nothing and that bitcoin is the exit… who’s really the fool? The billionaire who put 70% of his portfolio into bitcoin, or the saver still at the bank branch, waiting for the 0.01%?
