And the cherry on top is Australia. After complete lockdowns during COVID where they tracked everyone and posted fines, now they’re allowed to alter your social media posts.

Ironically, Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of twitter who is now a bitcoiner with a raging boner for free speech after ironically being forced to silence and manipulate a few elections with his platform, has covered this last year:

So, what’s the solution after all?
We need to run the censorship resistant protocols like bitcoin on a node, of course.
We also need to run Tor, which is supported by Snowflake, it’s so easy to run.
And Nostr, even intermittently as a user. If you’re a creator, you should love Nostr for the zaps. And if you’re living somewhere where free speech is under attack, well… It’s mandatory.
Primal is the easiest solution right now to simply start posting on nostr without all the technical hassle.
And to support that, we need to be nostr users as well as running relays.
Again, running one is a bit problematic, you can make one on lnbits but I found the one I made for loveisbitcoin to vanish for no reason. Twice.
Thankfully I can run all that on my Start 9 Server.
