For the longest time, I thought I needed my desktop to use my Trezor wallet. You might think you don’t need that feature for extra security, but I can assure you that for people who travel, or who might need to do a business deal at a specific office space with a notary or a lawyer present, this feature is very useful.
I thought it was a limitation, and that’s why I was eyeing a BitBox02 since you can plug that in a phone.
But all I needed was the right cable!
It only works on Android. And I also thought they didn’t have a cable available, but turns out Trezor does offer them on the accessories on their shop. But you can use any OTG cable that simply goes from male Micro-USB to male USB-C depending on your own smartphone. I needed a Micro to USB-C as shown on the photo above.
Then you simply use your phone’s browser to go to https://suite.trezor.io/web/
Make sure it’s the right address so you don’t get phished. Tap “Find Trezor,” and it should show up as a device immediately. If it doesn’t, you may need to update your Trezor’s firmware. And then you login in with your PIN and transact as normal.
Very easy, and very useful with extra security.
Get your own Trezor and connect it to your Android phone.
